This project examines the corporate ecosystem shaped by dominant entities like Amazon and the immense pressure they exert on smaller businesses that would otherwise be non-competitors. Set within the footprint of a hypothetically abandoned Target retail site, the design reimagines the space as a hub for small businesses to thrive without external pressures. A modular system, built from a kit of parts, enables businesses to expand physically within a flexible framework. Smaller businesses are supported with prime placements near the parking lot, while larger businesses act as destination anchors, driving foot traffic and providing smaller businesses with increased visibility.
